Oppenheimer Krötenbrunnen Burgkellerei Sommerau 2006 A sweet white wine reminiscent of lime and pear
Robert Mondavi 2000 Private Selection Chardonnay A vibrant and enthusiastic wine. Like an inner city slum peopled by criminals and dotted with quaint food shops. Weight, resistance and muscularity are good every once in a while, but I wouldn’t want to drink it everyday. Green apples and sweet limes.
Concha y Toro Selección Sauvignon Blanc / Chardonnay Lemony, alcoholic smell and a bitter aftertaste. It leaves a bunch of bubbles on the wine glass if you care about that kind of thing. The wine has a pale yellow color and a full body, but watery taste.
Lussac-Saint-Émilion Château La Claymore 1999 Black cherries, tobacco leaves and cherry-like fruit. A tart and pungent fruity wine with a refreshing personality, but then I’ve always been partial to French Merlots.
Sarmientos de Tarapacá Sauvignon Blanc A sparkling dry wine with an acid flavor that evokes vanilla and sweet fruits, it leaves a tingling sensation on the sides of your tongue. Lots of alcohol and gormless in the end.
Vi de la terra de Castella A dark and exciting wine reminiscent of generic sweet berries, dark fruit, and herbs. Easy to drink and excellent for a steak. Much better than the more expensive hifalutin wines.
